New Directions are seeking dedicated, flexible and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) to cover on a supply basis in supportive and inclusive schools based in Cardiff.
The successful candidate will be responsible for covering across KS1 and KS2 classes.
Requirements
- HLTA or Level 4 qualification.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning across a range of subjects and age groups.
- Plan and deliver learning activities for individuals, small groups, and whole classes.
- Provide cover for teachers during planned absences.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Support pupils with diverse learning needs and promote inclusion.
- Contribute to the development of a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Assist with behaviour management in line with school policies.
