We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team and help create a positive, inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and celebrated.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, families, and external professionals to support pupils with a range of additional needs. Your role will be vital in helping children build confidence, develop independence, and experience success both academically and socially.
The Role
- Provide1:1 and small-group supportto students with a range of SEND needs.
- Support teachers with differentiated and engaging learning activities.
- Help students with theiracademic progress, emotional wellbeing, social development and independence.
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement in the classroom.
- Build strong, positive relationships with students.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of SEND, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), and other learning difficulties.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience supporting young people with SEND is desirable.
- Patient, caring and proactive approach.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Resilient, adaptable and confident supporting students with additional needs.
- Passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and reach their potential.
