The Role
As an Art Teacher, you’ll have the opportunity to inspire students through creative and practical learning experiences while supporting schools with their day-to-day staffing needs.
Responsibilities may include:
- Planning and delivering engaging Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Encouraging creativity, self-expression, and artistic development
- Assessing and monitoring student progress
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively
- Providing general cover across other subject areas when required
- Supporting pupils to achieve their academic and personal potential
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and school leaders
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Art within a secondary school setting
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Confidence delivering lessons and managing classes independently
- Flexibility to provide general cover when needed
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A positive, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach
- A genuine passion for education and student success
