Reporting to the Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, this position will be responsible for formulating and implementing the HR vision and strategy for the Bank. The incumbent will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring all HR policies and programs of the Bank across areas such as talent acquisition, talent management, compensation and benefits, leadership, learning and development, performance management, succession planning for key positions, employee relations, diversity and overall HR operations to facilitate the realization of the Bank’s growth aspirations in line with organizational goals.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Formulate, implement and improve the Bank’s HR strategy, policies, programs and processes in line with the Bank’s strategy and business goals.
- Manage and lead various HR functions such as workforce planning, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, talent management, performance management, leadership development, learning and development etc., and identify areas of improvement in consultation and coordination with all relevant stakeholders.
- Lead communications on the HR strategies, policies and programs across the Bank.
- Manage and optimize the HR budget of the Bank with the objective of being cost-effective and efficient including the use of technology, outsourcing etc.
- Aim to make the Bank an Employer of Choice.
- Keep abreast of the latest HR developments in multilateral development institutions, financial institutions and the private sector and improve HR practices at the Bank.
- Maintain relations with global HR professional associations.
- Nurture talent and coach the team to ensure continuous learning and development of the team.
- Other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time.
Position requirements:
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant professional experience in the human resources area, culminating in a leadership role and position of influence, in a multilateral development bank or equivalent or regulated private sector financial institution or a large corporate enterprise.
- In-depth knowledge of key trends in Human Resource Management including knowledge of technology solutions for innovative HR practices.
- Proven experience in managing and leading all areas in the human resources function.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills in managing a diverse workforce.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, leading change, problem solving, communication, conflict management and resolution and interpersonal skills with high resilience and drive in achieving objectives and goals.
- Relevant experience in a multi-cultural work environment fostering a climate of teamwork and collaboration.
- Master’s Degree or equivalent in the field of HR from a reputed university. Relevant certification(s) from globally recognized certification agencies in the related field would be preferred.
