We’re looking for an experienced and diligent Driver to join our team at PAUL THOMAS. This role will report into the General Manager and is of central importance to the company. The right candidate will have the chance to play a key role in an experienced and fun team within a busy environment and will be given the opportunity to develop their skills.
This is a full time, hands-on operational role, that demands a flexible attitude to working days and hours to ensure that PAUL THOMAS continues to offer its clients the highest quality product and service.
The successful candidate will work closely with a team of florists to assist them with making, delivering and derigging floral installations whilst supporting the Warehouse Assistant in its day to day operations.
THE ROLE:
- Delivering and installing flower displays to VIP clients across London
- Delivery of flower bouquets across London
- Supporting the maintenance and upkeep of the business fleet
- Keeping a clean and safe working environment
- Assisting the Warehouse Assistant to maintain a well organised warehouse/workspace
- Cleaning and packing of vases
- Assisting florists on a day-to-day basis
- Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with all clients
- Assisting in other areas of the business as and when required
- Helping to install large-scale arrangements, from floral arches to Christmas trees all throughout the year
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:
- Have at least 2 years’ experience driving – ideally vans up to a Luton Crafter size
- Be able to lift heavy objects
- Be comfortable spending a full day driving across London
- Must possess an excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Will be interested in the florist industry and have the energy to tackle every event, large or small, with enthusiasm
- Will understand the ethos that no task is too big or too small
- Must hold a full UK driving licence
- Be happy with early starts and willing to work at the weekend
- Be flexible in their start and end times due to the nature of the business
- Understand the need to help other departments where needed, if necessary
COMPANY BENEFITS:

WORKING HOURS: Monday 3:30am start, Tuesday – Friday 5 – 8am starts depending on business needs. 2 Saturdays a month required (time in lieu given)
