As the Contract Florist & Designer you will support the Head of Weekly Flowers to run and design our weekly floral contracts, shaping client relationships and directing creative output. With a focus on exceptional service and operational precision, you will support aspects of floral design and client management — ensuring both creative excellence and commercial success.
DUTIES
- Client Support & Relationship Management: Support the Senior Client & Design Manager in maintaining relationships with key contract clients, assisting with quarterly reviews, responding to day-to-day client needs, and helping identify upsell opportunities.
- Floral Design & Creative Support: Support the delivery of floral design for weekly contracts and seasonal installations, ensuring designs align with the PAUL THOMAS brand standards and client briefs. Contribute creatively while executing direction from senior leadership.
- Business Development Support: Assist with identifying new weekly flower contracts and design opportunities, including attending site visits, preparing proposals, and supporting tender responses in collaboration with the Business Development Manager and Senior Client & Design Manager.
- Team Supervision & Coordination: Provide day-to-day supervision and support to florists and freelance staff on contracts and installations. Act as a key point of contact on-site, escalating issues to senior management where required.
- Floral Procurement Assistance: Support flower and foliage procurement by placing orders, checking deliveries, and helping manage stock in line with agreed designs and margins.
- Scheduling & Logistics Support: Assist with coordinating weekly deliveries, staffing schedules, installations, and maintenance visits to ensure smooth and timely execution.
- Seasonal Projects Support: Support the planning, installation, and breakdown of seasonal contract projects, including Christmas installations, working closely with the Senior Client & Design Manager to deliver creative and operational excellence.
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will:
- Have at least 3 years’ experience in senior-level floristry or creative client services roles.
- Possess an excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Possess a genuine passion for floristry and the energy to tackle every event, large or small, with enthusiasm.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and be happy to drive vans on occasion (preferred but not essential).
- Be happy with early starts and willing to work at the weekend as this is a necessity.

CONTRACT TYPE: Full time, permanent
CONTRACTED WORK HOURS: 2:30am on Monday’s. 3:00 – 9:00am start, Tuesday – Friday depending on business needs. The role is a standard 42.5 hour working week, with additional week and weekend hours when required. Fully studio based.
