Do you have a passion for supporting young people with SEND into employment and independence? We’re looking for an Employment Advisor – Project Search to join our Inclusive Learning team at New College Swindon. This is a rewarding role supporting learners with additional needs to develop employability skills, access meaningful work placements and progress into sustained employment. Working closely with employers, learners and support teams, you’ll play a key role in helping young people build confidence, independence and workplace skills.
What you’ll do:
- Support learners with SEND to access and sustain meaningful work placements
- Provide tailored employability support and workplace coaching
- Build positive relationships with employers and external partners
- Support learners to develop confidence, independence and employability skills
- Monitor learner progress and support achievement of outcomes
- Work collaboratively with curriculum and support teams
- Support transitions into employment and progression opportunities
What we’re looking for:
- Experience supporting young people or adults with SEND or additional needs
- Experience within employability, careers, supported internships or workplace support
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Ability to motivate and support learners with different needs and abilities
- A proactive, supportive and adaptable approach
- Good organisational and administrative skills
