We are looking for enthusiastic and knowledgeable Casual Lecturers to join our team on a part-time, temporary basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions that meet curriculum requirements and standards.
  • Plan and prepare lessons that cater to diverse learning needs and styles.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessment results, and other required documentation.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and enhancement activities where appropriate.
  • Support students’ personal development and encourage a positive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and safeguarding policies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A recognised teaching qualification, such as PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable subject expertise relevant to the courses being delivered.
  • Experience teaching in further education, adult education, or a similar setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
  • Ability to deliver lessons that are inclusive and accommodate learners with diverse backgrounds and needs.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to undergo one prior to appointment.
