Are you an experienced, qualified counsellor with a passion for developing the next generation of practitioners? We are seeking an Hourly Paid Counselling Lecturer to deliver and lead our Level 4 Counselling programme, supporting learners as they progress into professional therapeutic practice. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your expertise into the classroom while continuing your counselling work. This role is ideal for someone who has previous experience teaching counselling at Levels 2, 3 or higher, and is ready to support learners transitioning into more advanced, professional training.

What you'll do:

  • Deliver engaging teaching across Level 4 Counselling programmes
  • Support learners in developing reflective, ethical and professional practice
  • Assess and mark student work, providing clear and constructive feedback
  • Contribute to quality assurance and awarding body requirements
  • Foster a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Support progression pathways from Level 3 to Level 4 study

What we're looking for:

  • A qualified Counsellor (Level 4 or above) with relevant professional experience
  • Previous teaching experience at Level 2, Level 3 Counselling or higher (essential)
  • Membership of a recognised professional body and commitment to CPD
  • A teaching qualification (Level 3+)
  • Strong communication skills and a learner-focused approach
