Do you have experience on site as a groundworker and would you be interested in developing the next generation of groundworkers? We’re looking for someone to join us so that we can launch this exciting new provision starting next academic year. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in developing and delivering a new curriculum area, helping learners build practical, industry-ready skills in groundworks and construction. You’ll have the chance to shape the learner experience, influence delivery and support students into successful careers in the sector.

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver engaging teaching across groundworks and construction programmes
  • Teach practical and theoretical elements of the curriculum
  • Support learners to develop industry-relevant skills and knowledge
  • Assess student work and provide clear, constructive feedback
  • Track learner progress and support achievement and progression
  • Contribute to the development of this new provision and curriculum
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and employers to support delivery

What we’re looking for:

  • Industry experience in groundworks, construction or a related field
  • A relevant level 3 or above qualification (or willingness to do so) or equivalent experience
  • Confidence delivering practical sessions to learners aged 16+
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
  • A proactive, hands-on and supportive approach
