Do you enjoy helping people, building relationships and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes? We're looking for an organised and customer-focused Adult Education Centre Coordinator to join our Adult and Professional team. This is a varied role where you'll be at the heart of our Adult Education Centre, supporting learners from their first enquiry through to enrolment while coordinating the centre's day-to-day administrative operations.

Working closely with colleagues, tutors and external partners, you'll play a key role in delivering an excellent experience for our learners and ensuring the smooth running of the centre.

What you'll do:

  • Coordinate the day-to-day administration of the Adult Education Centre, supporting learners, staff and external partners.
  • Act as the first point of contact for enquiries, providing outstanding customer service both in person and remotely.
  • Manage course applications, enrolments and waiting lists, ensuring learner records are accurate and up to date.
  • Provide initial information, advice and guidance to prospective learners and support the enrolment process.
  • Work closely with tutors, MIS and examination teams to prepare classes, student documentation and registrations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments and external organisations, including referral partners.
  • Produce reports, monitor learner participation and identify students who may require additional support.
  • Support marketing activities, customer feedback and wider administrative projects across the Adult Education Centre.
  • Deputise for the Adult Education Centre Manager when required, helping to ensure the centre continues to operate effectively.

What we're looking for:

  • A Level 2 qualification in Business Administration or equivalent administrative experience.
  • Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths.
  • Experience providing excellent customer service in a busy administrative or reception environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain excellent attention to detail.
  • Confidence using a range of IT systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively with learners, colleagues and external partners.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively as part of a team.
  • Experience within further education, adult learning or a similar environment would be advantageous.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and adults.
