Are you passionate about English and able to inspire learners across a range of levels? This is a fantastic opportunity for a versatile and committed teacher who can deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in A Level English Language and A Level English Literature, while also contributing to teaching across a broader curriculum. You’ll play a key role in supporting learners of all abilities to develop their confidence, skills and achievement in English, from entry level through to advanced study.

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver engaging and effective teaching in A Level English Language and English Literature
  • Contribute to teaching across English programmes from Level 1 to Level 3 (including GCSE/Functional Skills where required)
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet a wide range of learner needs and abilities
  • Support learners to develop confidence, literacy skills and academic achievement
  • Assess student work and provide clear, constructive feedback
  • Monitor and track learner progress to support success and progression
  • Contribute to high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across the provision
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support delivery and outcomes

What we’re looking for:

  • A relevant degree in English or a related subject
  • Experience teaching A Level English (Language and/or Literature)
  • Experience teaching across a range of levels (Level 1-3 / GCSE / Functional Skills desirable)
  • A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate learners with different needs and abilities
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to teaching
