Are you a dynamic curriculum leader with a passion for English and ESOL? We're looking for an ambitious and motivated Head of Faculty to lead our English & ESOL provision at New College Swindon. You'll guide talented teams, raise standards, strengthen outcomes and play a key part in shaping an exceptional learning experience for our students.
What you'll do:
- Lead and support English & ESOL teams, driving high-quality teaching and strong student outcomes
- Oversee day-to-day operations including cover, staff recruitment, open evenings and exams
- Use data to monitor progress, identify issues and deliver impactful interventions
- Shape an agile, innovative curriculum that meets learner needs and local demand
- Model excellent teaching with your own reduced timetable
- Manage resources, staffing and planning to ensure smooth delivery
- Build positive relationships with parents, employers and external partners
- Promote an outstanding culture of safeguarding, behaviour, ambition and inclusion
What we're looking for:
- Degree-level qualification plus a full Level 5 teaching qualification
- Strong experience teaching English and/or ESOL in post-16 settings
- Proven ability to lead teams, improve quality and manage curriculum delivery
- Confident using data to inform decisions and drive improvement
- Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills
- Energy, resilience and a student-first mindset
