As a Security Officer at New College Swindon, you'll contribute to maintaining a safe and secure environment for our students, staff and visitors. You'll be part of a team where being reliable, vigilant and approachable is essential.
What you'll do Support the safety and security of the College's students, staff and visitors.
Monitor the site and respond appropriately to security concerns or incidents.
Carry out security checks and follow established procedures.
Provide a visible and reassuring presence across the College.
Respond to incidents and emergencies in line with College procedures.
Work positively with colleagues, students, visitors and external contractors.
Maintain accurate records and report concerns where appropriate.
What we're looking for Experience of working in a security, site, facilities or similar environment.
A responsible and vigilant approach to maintaining safety and security.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with challenging situations.
Reliability, flexibility and the ability to work as part of a team.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
