Animal Care Technician
to join our Lifestyle team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within our Animal Care Centre, helping to maintain exceptional standards of animal welfare while supporting the delivery of practical learning for students. Working alongside our teaching team, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the Animal Care Centre, caring for a diverse collection of animals, supporting practical sessions and contributing to the development of our expanding facilities. What you'll do:
Maintain the highest standards of animal husbandry, health and welfare across the Animal Care Centre. Support the daily operation of the Animal Care Centre, ensuring animals are cared for safely and professionally. Assist lecturers and students during practical sessions, helping to deliver an engaging learning experience. Monitor animal health and wellbeing, maintaining accurate records including health checks, feeding logs and risk assessments. Assist with the introduction of new animals and support the ongoing development of the College's animal collection. Manage stock control and order resources to support curriculum delivery. Build positive relationships with external organisations and other colleges to share best practice in animal care. Contribute to the planning and development of the College's new Animal Care Centre. Support College open events, marketing activities and student engagement opportunities. Work as part of a team providing
