We are offering a 16 month apprenticeship to join them as an Apprenticeships Coordinator while studying the Level 4 Learning & Skills Mentor Apprenticeship. In this apprenticeship, you will develop your key communication skills, provide first class pastoral support to our apprentices and refine your approach to monitoring and mentorship. Working with an Apprenticeship team this role will provide an effective and successful key account management service to support the College\'s Apprenticeship provision. The role is the first point of contact for employers and those interested in undertaking an apprenticeship programme, and will provide an effective customer service to meet the needs of these key College customers. Responsible for a caseload of employers and learners in specific sectors, the role will be focused on ensuring effective recruitment, enrolment, on programme experience and successful completion. Working effectively with curriculum delivery staff this post will ensure that all programme elements, including funding, audit and Ofsted requirements, are adhered to, and apprenticeship achievement and funding targets are fully met. - Liaise with Curriculum Staff to produce an accurate costing of each Apprenticeship Standard for the Training agreement and record this in the Training Services Agreement
- Discuss any Apprentice prior knowledge or experience with the Apprentice and Assessor if required as identified within the Apprentice Skill Scan
- Liaise with Curriculum Managers to produce a % reduction for each of the knowledge skills and behaviours to incorporate in the Apprentice Skills scan
- Liaise with Curriculum Staff to ensure a Scheme of Work is produced which has the Standard Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours embedded for each Apprenticeship Standard and provide the Scheme of Work to the Employer to enable them to plan allocation of jobs for the apprentice in the workplace at appropriate times during the apprenticeship
- Sign Up of Employers and Apprentices
- Ensure the Employer and the Apprentice are fully aware of their responsibilities listed in the Training Plan
- Complete Health and Safety checklists and obtain evidence of employer liability insurance
- Check the Apprentices prior English and Maths and agree a date with the employer and apprentice for Functional Skills training if required
- Agree the Total Negotiated Price with the employer based on the prior knowledge and skills recorded in the Apprentice Skills Scan and any additional modules or qualifications
- Other area\'s include Recruitment of Employers and Apprentices, On Programme Support for Apprentices and Employers, Quality & Compliance.
- Conduct sustainable mentoring practice within organisational and professional boundaries, and legal and ethical requirements, including safeguarding
- Establish and maintain mentoring contracts with mentees and where relevant, other stakeholders
- Conduct mentoring sessions according to agreed plans
- Implement established mentoring tools and techniques to help the mentee work towards agreed outcomes
- Maintain records of mentoring practice, complying with quality, confidentiality and data protection requirements
- Establish and use assessed starting points to establish agreed outcomes of the mentoring process
- Assess and review progress and achievement of agreed outcomes and revise action plans as appropriate
- Maintain mentoring relationship through a non-judgemental and objective approach
- Use questioning techniques to encourage reflection and progression
- Provide feedback to the mentee to inform progression
- Inform, advise and guide the mentee to support development toward agreed outcomes
- Apply theories and models of evaluation and reflection to support mentee development
- Monitor and reflect on own mentoring practice, including feedback from supervision, to develop self
- Apply evidence based mentoring practice informed by own research
