To supplement our existing staff team, we would welcome applications from those interested in teaching Plumbing/Gas discipline within the Department of Construction Trades Technology.
Essential
- With practical experience in the relevant discipline, you must be a qualified Plumbing/Gas Engineer and have served a recognised Apprenticeship, with post qualified industry work experience in the respective discipline.
- You should be qualified to a minimum of HNC level in a relevant craft discipline (SCQF level 7) or an equivalent level of qualification, in an appropriate field.
- Possession of current Gas ACS and Renewable Technologies certification is essential.
- You will have experience in teaching, delivering and developing the Further Education curriculum, namely, SVQ Plumbing and Heating at SCQF level 7.
Desirable
- Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and possession of a teaching qualification, and assessor or verifier units, would be desirable.
- In possession of a clean driving licence.
- An effective communicator, and a highly motivated individual, you will have a passion for the subject and the ability to work to deadlines both within a team setting, and on your own.
