DEPARTMENT OF AUTOMOTIVE STUDIES

Temporary Lecturer – Light or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair

Up to 24 hours per week

Motherwell Campus

Temporary until June 2026

Our Department of Automotive Studies are seeking individual who are dedicated and enthusiastic about nurturing and guiding students pursuing qualifications in light vehicle or heavy vehicle maintenance and repair. Ideal candidates will possess strong technical knowledge and a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment that empowers students to excel in their studies towards automotive maintenance and repair.

Candidates must possess industry-relevant experience and qualifications equivalent to SCQF level 7, such as an SVQ Level 3 or Higher National Certificate. You should be capable of delivering instruction in both classroom and workshop settings. A teaching qualification recognised by GTCS is highly desirable, along with strong ICT skills and the adaptability to teach various automotive disciplines.

As an effective communicator and highly motivated individual, you should demonstrate a genuine passion for the subject matter, along with the capability to meet deadlines while collaborating within a team or working independently.
