We are seeking to appoint an exceptional Teacher of Social Sciences to join our thriving faculty. We deliver KS4 Health and Social Care and Childcare, and we are particularly interested in candidates who can deliver Childcare, although applicants with experience in Health and Social Care will also be considered.

The successful candidate will be an inspirational classroom practitioner who demonstrates genuine passion for their subject and the ability to engage, challenge and motivate students across the 11–16 age range. They bring a track record of good or outstanding outcomes and a commitment to raising aspirations for all learners while contributing positively to the wider school community.

We welcome applications from experienced teachers as well as those currently undertaking initial teacher training who can demonstrate excellent potential and a strong aptitude for secondary teaching. Wingfield Academy has become an oversubscribed and high performing secondary school, placing it as one of the highest performing schools in Rotherham and in the top 5% nationally for progress. Wingfield has also been named a national lead school as part of the DFE’s behaviour hub programme.
