About this Opportunity

Come and work in a school where students and staff matter. Our care, candour and collaborative practices ensure year on year success! We are now seeking to appoint a careers advisor to work as part of a wider careers team based at Wingfield Academy.

We would welcome applications from experienced and qualified individuals and would also like to hear from candidates who are willing to train towards the Level 6, Career Development Professional qualification which can be accessed as an apprenticeship (funded by the Trust) and will take a minimum of two years to complete. You will receive support and mentoring from our senior careers lead.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing careers guidance to students across Wingfield Academy. This will include providing careers education, information, advice and guidance to students to support their choices and future educational/career aspirations and progression, which may include liaison with internal and external providers.

Where this is an apprenticeship role, and depending on the level of knowledge and experience, this role will initially be supported by our senior careers lead and may be offered on a lower grade, depending upon skills and experience.

Wingfield Academy has become an oversubscribed and high performing secondary school, placing it as one of the highest performing schools in Rotherham and in the top 7% nationally for progress. Wingfield has also been named a national lead school as part of the DFE’s behaviour hub programme.
