About this Opportunity
An exciting opportunity to join an Outstanding team! Working as a Progress Tutor you will contribute to the development of student support through raising aspiration and performance and helping to build ambition, confidence and resilience in young people. The team of Progress Tutors is central to the College and to the establishment and maintenance of a culture of hard work, success, resilience, and target achievement.
As a Progress Tutor you will work in a diverse range of ways with students including goal-setting, monitoring achievement and attendance and motivational coaching. You will be expected to liaise with parents, Subject Teachers, Heads of Faculty and Senior Progress Tutors. You will also support, challenge and motivate students in all aspects of their learning journey.
New College Doncaster, an academic sixth form college, offers a distinctive young adult ethos and is a great place to work and study. With 1500 students, New College Doncaster has grown rapidly since opening in 2017 and students make exceptional progress in both A level and level 3 applied general courses.
