We’re seeking a dynamic Human Resources Officer to join our team and play a crucial role in shaping our organisation’s success by working with our most important asset – our people!

In this role you will be responsible for the HR service at Brinsworth Academy but work as part of a wider HR team, creating the perfect balance of autonomy and support. As an HR generalist you will provide a comprehensive range of HR support, taking a lead on HR work and employee relations matters and being the first point of contact for staff for Brinsworth Academy.

You will lead in managing school‑based HR processes including recruitment, new starter processes, contracts, use of HR software to maintain staff records and additionally support managers with employment relations matters (including sickness absence, flexible working requests, disciplinary and grievance cases, etc). This would be an ideal opportunity for someone currently working as an HR Officer or someone with a proven track record in HR administration who is looking for their next step and for a candidate with the right skills and qualities. Full training is available.

You will receive advice and support from the HR Manager and Chief of People Operations as well as the wider Trust HR team, such as the HR Officers for our other schools. NCLT is committed to the professional development of staff and would be willing to fully fund the appropriate CIPD qualification for the successful candidate if desired.

To be successful in this role you will have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, be personable, self‑motivated and professional with good communication skills, be able to work flexibly under pressure, balancing changing priorities and be willing to undertake further training relevant to the role.

Brinsworth Academy is a growing 11-18 Academy with a positive reputation at the heart of the local community. We pride ourselves on knowing our students well and caring for them effectively while maintaining high standards and expectations so they can achieve their potential academically and personally to be the best they can be. We take staff well‑being equally as seriously, valuing our greatest asset – our people.

New Collaborative Learning Trust (NCLT) is a Multi Academy Trust which has grown significantly over the last four years and currently comprises three 16-19 Colleges, three secondary schools and three primary schools. NCLT has a dynamic, positive and supportive culture for staff and students, with an enviable reputation for staff career progression and development. You will join a focused and driven team, committed to providing the highest standards of education.
