New Close Primary School is looking for a motivated and caring Teaching Assistant to join its friendly team of staff and provide support to pupils, including those with additional needs, with effect from September 2026.
Working Hours: Part time (25 hours, Monday – Friday, 38 weeks per year, term-time only, no Teacher Training days).
Contract: Fixed term (until 31st August 2027).
We are a caring and inclusive non-denominational, growing school, situated in the garrison town of Warminster, Wiltshire. We are at the heart of our local community and pride ourselves on getting to know each of our pupils, and their families/carers, so that we can provide them with the support they need and help them to develop as individuals. With the support of Acorn Education Trust, we have transformed our learning environments and curriculum, and are very proud to be graded as ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted in our most recent inspection.
As a Teaching Assistant, you must be able to work across all age ranges within our school and be prepared to work flexibly to support children of all abilities, including those requiring SEND support, liaising with teachers and SENDCO. The role will require you to work on a one-to-one basis with a child with an EHCP in place.

- Has experience of supporting children’s learning;
