We are looking for a dual-qualified UK and European Patent Attorney with experience in hi-tech subject matter to join our friendly and highly regarded IT & Engineering practice group. This role would suit a qualified attorney who is ready to take on a high level of responsibility within a supportive, partner-led team. You will manage a varied and interesting caseload for clients with a broad mix of technical and legal needs, advising on drafting, filing and prosecution as well as oppositions, appeals before the EPO and contentious advisory work. You will have scope to deepen your specialist expertise, build trusted client relationships and play an active role in delivering strategic, commercially focused IP advice.

Alongside your client work, we would welcome your contribution to the wider success of the firm. Depending on your interests, this could include business development, mentoring and supporting more junior colleagues, contributing to training and recruitment, or helping improve our internal procedures and systems.   • Dual-qualified UK and European Patent Attorney
  • Background in physics, engineering, software or a related technical discipline, with experience supporting hi-tech clients
  • Strong drafting and prosecution experience across UK and European patent applications
  • Strong client care skills, with the confidence to provide clear, strategic and commercially focused advice
  • Good commercial awareness and an understanding of how IP strategy supports clients’ wider business objectives
