Overview
We are currently looking for a technically qualified and experienced part-time term-time-only Technician/Facilitator to provide an effective and efficient technical service to teaching in the Creative Industries curriculum area. The successful candidate will need to have a media production or related qualification to degree level or good industry experience to support teaching staff in skills delivery, specifically (but not exclusively) in camera, lighting, audio and the Adobe Creative Suite. Other responsibilities will involve maintaining specialist studio spaces (media/photography), ordering materials and equipment, managing the equipment loan scheme, and ensuring adherence to health and safety policies. You will support practical and technical delivery in studios and specialist workspaces, working alongside teaching staff to support skills delivery to our learners. Duties will also include preparation of materials and set up/check of equipment for use in practical classes. You need to be a team player, well organised, willing to work with young people and capable of multi-tasking and possess a full range of technician skills.
