Responsibilities
- Lead curriculum development, ensuring high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across a designated Programme Area.
- Oversee student progress, behaviour and achievement, managing assessment, accreditation, exams and internal verification processes.
- Manage the day-to-day organisation of courses, support staffing arrangements and contribute to recruitment, admissions, enrolment and induction processes.
- Support the management of the Programme’s cost centre, authorise purchases within budget and contribute to income-generating initiatives.
- Teach on appropriate courses and deputise for the Group Curriculum Director when required.
- Play an active role in safeguarding, quality assurance and continuous improvement across the College.
- Produce reports for internal and external audiences, including the annual Self-Assessment Report.

You are an experienced educator with a strong background in curriculum development, quality assurance and teaching within Further Education. You understand national and local post-16 learner issues, lead teams, support staff development and maintain high standards of teaching and learning. You are highly organised, confident in managing budgets and resources, and skilled in using data to inform planning and improvement. You communicate effectively, build positive relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners. You are committed to inclusive practice, safeguarding, continuous improvement and delivering an outstanding learner experience.
