The Role: Are you an experienced and ambitious education leader with a passion for A Level Social Sciences? We are seeking a Senior Curriculum Manager (SCM) to drive excellence, innovation, and student success across our Social Sciences provision. As a Senior Curriculum Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping and delivering outstanding A Level Social Sciences education. You will oversee curriculum quality, lead high-performing teams, and ensure exceptional outcomes for learners.
Key Responsibilities: The core purpose of a Senior Curriculum Manager is to drive up standards and ensure an excellent student experience. As well as teaching to a high standard you will be expected to line-manage a large team of teachers, undertake observations of teaching and learning, support the planning, monitoring and evaluation of the curriculum and work effectively within the directorate leadership team to support day to day operations, curriculum development, quality improvement and the strategic aims of both the directorate and the wider college.
Qualifications:
- A degree (or relevant professional qualification) in a related subject
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Desirable: teaching experience within A Level Social Sciences
- Proven leadership or management experience in Further Education or similar
- A track record of improving teaching, learning, and student outcomes
