As a Senior IT Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the College's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, end-user devices and Microsoft 365 services. This is a highly hands-on role combining day-to-day operational support with advanced troubleshooting, system administration and project delivery. Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex IT incidents, ensuring issues are diagnosed, resolved and communicated effectively. Support and administer the College's network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi and connectivity services. Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows devices, Apple Macs, IP telephony systems and end-user technologies. Assist with software deployment and device management using tools such as SCCM and Jamf. Maintain accurate IT asset records and configuration information. Deliver technical projects and work collaboratively with colleagues, users and external suppliers to achieve successful outcomes. An experienced IT professional with strong hands-on expertise across infrastructure, networking and end-user support. Skilled in Windows administration, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Apple Mac support, networking and IP telephony. A proactive problem solver who takes ownership of incidents and projects through to completion. Experience with technologies such as VMware, SCCM, Jamf, Veeam, Omnissa Horizon or Linux would be advantageous.
