New City College is seeking a committed and inspiring Lecturer in Business to join our dynamic teaching team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of highâquality education across a range of business programmes, including collegeâbased qualifications and workforce development, from entry level to Level 3 and foundation degree level. You will play a key role in shaping the future of our learners aged 14â19 and adult students, helping them develop the skills and knowledge needed for academic and career success.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective teaching across a range of business subjects, including BTEC and foundation degree programmes.
- Act as a personal tutor/course coordinator, supporting students' academic and personal development.
- Contribute to curriculum development in line with national standards, local needs, and employer expectations.
- Prepare and assess learning materials, monitor student progress, and provide constructive feedback.
- Participate in student recruitment, admissions, enrolment, and induction processes.
- Liaise with employers and external agencies to support student placements and career progression.
- Maintain accurate course records and contribute to quality assurance and review processes.
- Uphold safeguarding, equality, and health and safety policies.
Qualifications & Experience
- A degree in Business or a related field.
- A recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching a broad range of business subjects, particularly within the RQF BTEC Business Framework.
- Strong communication and organisation skills, with a studentâcentred approach to teaching.
- A commitment to inclusive education and the ability to support learners from diverse backgrounds.
- Teamâoriented with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
