The Role: We are seeking an exceptional Deputy Group Curriculum Director – Business to join our Curriculum Management Team responsible for supporting the Group Curriculum Director in the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of Business programmes across BTEC and T Level pathways. You will play a key role in shaping the curriculum, raising standards, and ensuring outstanding outcomes for learners aged 16–19 and adults. Your leadership will ensure our Business, Law and Accounting curriculum remains innovative, inclusive, and aligned with industry needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead curriculum planning, development, and quality assurance for Business and Law BTEC, Accounting (AAT) and HE Programmes.
- Support the Group Curriculum Director with strategic partnerships, curriculum design and delivery.
- Drive improvements in teaching, learning, and assessment to enhance student outcomes.
- Monitor performance data and implement strategies to raise achievement and progression.
- Manage budgets effectively, ensuring financial accountability and value for money.
- Line manage and support curriculum teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure curriculum relevance and responsiveness.
Who You Are:
You are a qualified education professional with a degree and teaching credentials, backed by significant experience in curriculum leadership—particularly within vocational Business programmes. You have a strong grasp of post-16 education policy and the Further Education landscape, including the needs of both 16-19 and adult learners. You've successfully led teams, improved student outcomes, and managed budgets with confidence and accountability. You are an excellent communicator and collaborator, with the ability to influence, problem-solve, and drive progress. Organised and proactive, you manage projects and deadlines with ease. Confident using IT, you are open to developing your digital skills further. Most importantly, you're committed to creating an inclusive, safe, and high-performing learning environment, with a clear understanding of how to embed Equality, Diversity, and Safeguarding into your work.
