The Role:
Weare looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Lecturer in Engineering tojoin our team at our Rainham Campus. You will teach and assess learners acrossa range of Engineering programmes, including 14 to 19 provision, adult learnersand apprentices, with courses ranging from Level 2 through to HNC. Teaching maycover areas including mechanical and electrical/electronic principles, furthermathematics and calculus, electronics, circuit design, PLCs, microcontrollersand renewable energy. You will play an important part in supporting learners todevelop the technical knowledge, practical skills and confidence they need toachieve their qualifications and progress successfully.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging teaching, training and assessment acrossaccredited Engineering qualifications.
- Plan and develop student-centred learning activities, schemes ofwork and assessment plans.
- Assess and support students and apprentices from induction throughto successful achievement.
- Provide regular feedback, tutorials and individual support to helplearners achieve their full potential.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement ofEngineering programmes and qualifications.
- Work closely with colleagues, employers, awarding bodies and otherpartners.
- Maintain accurate learner, assessment and course records andcontribute to quality assurance processes.
Who You Are:
Youare a qualified Engineer with relevant industry experience and a passion forsharing your knowledge with the next generation of engineers. You will hold, orbe willing to work towards, a relevant teaching or training qualification suchas a PGCE, PTLLS or DTLLS.
Youwill have experience of developing assessment plans and schemes of work, alongwith the ability to work effectively as part of a team. An A1 Assessor Award isrequired, while a V1 Award and experience of embedding e-learning into coursedelivery are desirable. You will also have a strong commitment to equality,diversity and safeguarding.
