We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Chemistry Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching across GCSE, Access to HE and BTEC programmes. You will inspire and support students to achieve their full potential through engaging, student-centred learning, while contributing to curriculum development, personal tutoring and the wider success of the department. - Deliver outstanding teaching across GCSE, Access to HE and BTEC programmes at all Levels.
- Plan, prepare and assess learning activities that promote student achievement, retention and progression.
- Providing academic guidance, pastoral support and progression advice, including UCAS and career guidance.
- Develop and enhance curriculum content in line with awarding body requirements and industry needs.
- Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate course records.
- Contribute to student recruitment, enrolment, induction and course review activities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, employers and external partners to support an outstanding learner experience.
- Maintain compliance with safeguarding, equality and diversity, health and safety, and quality assurance requirements.
Qualified to degree level in Chemistry or a closely related subject, with a recognised teaching qualification.
- An exceptional classroom practitioner with a passion for teaching Science and inspiring learners.
- Experienced in delivering engaging and innovative lessons, ideally across vocational science courses.
- Student-focused, with the ability to motivate and support learners from diverse backgrounds.
- A strong communicator who builds positive relationships with students, colleagues and stakeholders.
- Committed to inclusion, safeguarding and creating a supportive learning environment.
