The Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Chemistry Lecturer todeliver high-quality teaching across GCSE, Access to HE and BTEC programmes.You will inspire and support students to achieve their full potential throughengaging, student-centred learning, while contributing to curriculumdevelopment, personal tutoring and the wider success of the department.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator committed toacademic excellence, innovation and student progression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding teaching across GCSE, Access toHE and BTEC programmes at all Levels.
  • Plan, prepare and assess learning activities thatpromote student achievement, retention and progression.
  • Providing academic guidance, pastoral support andprogression advice, including UCAS and career guidance.
  • Develop and enhance curriculum content in line withawarding body requirements and industry needs.
  • Monitor student progress, provide constructivefeedback and maintain accurate course records.
  • Contribute to student recruitment, enrolment,induction and course review activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, employers andexternal partners to support an outstanding learner experience.
  • Maintain compliancewith safeguarding, equality and diversity, health and safety, and qualityassurance requirements.

Who You Are:

  • Qualified to degree level in Chemistry or a closelyrelated subject, with a recognised teaching qualification.
  • An exceptional classroom practitioner with apassion for teaching Science and inspiring learners.
  • Experienced in delivering engaging and innovativelessons, ideally across vocational science courses.
  • Student-focused, with the ability to motivate andsupport learners from diverse backgrounds.
  • A strong communicator who builds positiverelationships with students, colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Committed to inclusion, safeguarding and creating asupportive learning environment.
  • Organised, collaborative and proactive, with thedrive to contribute to continuous improvement and curriculum excellence.
