The Role:

We’re looking for an experienced and forward‑thinking IT leader to join us as Deputy Group Director of IT Services. In this senior role, you’ll oversee the operational management of IT across all campuses, ensuring our systems are secure, reliable and aligned with the College’s strategic priorities. Working closely with the Group Director of IT Services, you’ll help shape and deliver our IT Strategy, lead service improvements, support major digital initiatives, and ensure students and staff receive outstanding technical support. You’ll also provide strong leadership to our IT Managers, driving high standards and a culture of continuous development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of secure, reliable and compliant IT services across all campuses
  • Manage and support IT Managers, ensuring consistent standards and strong team performance
  • Oversee major IT projects, system improvements and digital initiatives
  • Monitor service performance, budgets and KPIs, driving continuous improvement
  • Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues and support problem resolution
  • Deputise for the Group Director of IT Services when required

You’re an experienced IT professional with strong leadership skills, confident in managing teams, delivering reliable IT services, and driving improvement. You communicate clearly, solve problems effectively, and have experience overseeing budgets and projects.
