The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of International (Maternity Cover) to lead and manage our International Department at New City College. This is a pivotal role responsible for driving international student recruitment, managing overseas applications, and leading on international projects and partnerships.

You will work cross-college to promote internationalisation, generate income through new initiatives, and ensure compliance with UKVI regulations. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the college international strategy during a key period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the International Department, managing staff and operations
  • Develop and maintain international partnerships and secure funding from sources such as Turing and the British Council.
  • Oversee the recruitment of international fee-paying students, working closely with agents and the Marketing team.
  • Manage the overseas application process in collaboration with Admissions, Finance, and MIS teams.
  • Ensure compliance with UKVI sponsorship requirements and visa regulations.
  • Monitor departmental finances and contribute to strategic planning and reporting.
  • Line manage the international team and support their professional development.
