Economics Lecturer in Clydebank

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Economics A Level Teacher to join our dynamic A‑Level team at NCC. In this role, you will teach across a range of courses, deliver high‑quality and engaging lessons, and contribute to excellent student outcomes. You will act as a personal tutor, participate in admissions and induction processes, contribute to curriculum development, and maintain high standards of teaching, learning, assessment, and safeguarding. This post requires a passion for student progress, strong subject knowledge, and the ability to develop inclusive, student‑centred teaching strategies that promote achievement, retention, and positive progression.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach A‑Level Economics and contribute to related subject areas where appropriate.
• Prepare effective schemes of work, lesson plans, assessments, and learning resources.
• Provide high‑quality feedback and academic support to help students reach their full potential.
• Engage in curriculum development in line with national standards and student needs.
• Contribute to admissions, enrolment, induction, tracking, and student support processes.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, employers, and external agencies.

Who You Are:

• A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area (Economics preferred; related subjects considered).
• A teaching qualification (or willingness to work toward one).
• Experience teaching A‑Level (or GCSE) content with evidence of innovative and effective classroom practice.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
• Commitment to equality, diversity, safeguarding, and continuous professional development.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to course planning, assessment, and evaluation.
