Student Adviser Welfare (0.53 FTE) in City of Westminster

The College is seeking a Student Adviser to provide welfare support to students, based at our Hackney campus.

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who cares about making a difference, to join our friendly and experienced Bursary & Welfare team.,

• Provide advice, information, and guidance to students on a range of welfare-related matters, including housing, homelessness, financial hardship, immigration, and benefits.
• Support students in accessing appropriate internal and external welfare and financial assistance.
• Signpost students to external support services, including charities, food banks, local authorities, and other community organisations.
• Contribute to the administration and delivery of bursary processes across the Group when required.
• Work collaboratively within the Bursary & Welfare Team to ensure students receive timely, effective, and appropriate support.

The successful applicant will have experience of 1-1 advisory work and hold relevant qualifications.

They will offer a professional service, keeping up to date with welfare-related local and national developments.

It is essential to have experience of working in a diverse customer-centred environment, both face to face and over the telephone.

Being able to work effectively under pressure is key.
