We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced AAT & Business Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching across AAT Level 1 Bookkeeping, Level 1 Business Skills and AAT Level 2 Accounting programmes at our Poplar Campus.

This is an exciting opportunity for an AAT specialist teacher who is passionate about developing learners' knowledge, skills and confidence, helping them progress into further study or employment within business, bookkeeping and accounting sectors.

The post holder will contribute to excellent learner outcomes through engaging teaching, effective assessment and strong learner support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across AAT and Business programmes.
  • Plan and prepare engaging lessons, schemes of work and learning materials.
  • Assess, track and monitor learner progress, providing timely feedback and support.
  • Maintain accurate learner records in line with awarding body and college requirements.
  • Support learner retention, achievement and progression.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, course reviews and standardisation meetings.
  • Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion within all aspects of teaching and learning.
  • Work collaboratively with curriculum managers and colleagues to ensure outstanding learner outcomes.

Qualifications

  • An experienced AAT specialist lecturer or teacher with proven success delivering accounting and bookkeeping qualifications.
  • Hold a relevant degree, professional accounting qualification, or equivalent vocational qualification.
  • Possess an AAT qualification at Level 3 or above and/or a recognised professional accounting qualification.
  • Hold a recognised teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one.
