Overview
This role is 0.7 FTE (28 hours per week, term time only) at New City College. The pay range is £29,120-£30,633 pro-rata per annum depending on qualification and experience. The position is permanent with a start date TBC. Application close: 5 October 2025.
The Role
We are looking for enthusiastic and proactive Careers & Higher Education Advisers to join our dynamic Careers Team at New City College. Based at our Tower Hamlets Campus and across the wider group, you will play a vital role in supporting students to make informed decisions about their futures.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Careers Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) to students across all levels.
- Support learners in developing career management skills and enhancing their employability.
- Guide students through their next steps, including progression to higher education, apprenticeships, or employment.
- Contribute to the development of a strong, student-focused careers service across the college group.
Who You Are
You are an experienced careers professional with a passion for helping young people and adults achieve their goals. You hold a professional qualification in Careers Guidance (ideally Level 6 or above), or you may currently hold a Level 4 and be willing to train to Level 6 while working with us. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to delivering a high-quality service.
