New Chapter Tuition is recruiting an experienced SEN Tutor (ASC – Autism) to deliver 1:1 tuition to learners with Autism Spectrum Condition who are unable to fully access mainstream education. This role focuses on structured, personalised support to promote engagement, confidence, and progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 SEN tuition to learners with ASC
- Adapt teaching to meet communication, sensory, and processing needs
- Use structured, predictable approaches to support engagement
- Support academic and/or functional learning outcomes
- Build positive, trusting relationships with learners
- Monitor progress and provide session feedback
Essential Requirements
- Experience supporting learners with ASC (Autism)
- Understanding of neurodiversity-affirming practice
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to individual needs
- Calm, patient, and consistent approach
- Confident working independently in outreach settings
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience working with learners with EHCPs
- SEN qualification or relevant training
- Background in education, tutoring, or specialist support
