New Chapter Tuition is seeking experienced SEN Tutors to deliver high-quality 1:1 tuition to children and young people across Bexley. This role is ideal for confident, skilled tutors who have a strong background supporting learners with Autism (ASC), SEMH, ADHD, and other complex needs, and who are comfortable working independently in community-based settings. You’ll be trusted to plan, adapt, and deliver personalised learning that supports both educational progress and emotional wellbeing.

Part time or Full time hours e.g. Mornings, Afternoons or Full days

The Role

As an Experienced SEN Tutor, you will work 1:1 with learners who require a calm, consistent, and highly individualised approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering high-quality 1:1 SEN tuition to learners with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, and additional needs
  • Designing and adapting bespoke learning programmes aligned with EHCPs, learning plans, and care plans
  • Using nurture-led, trauma-informed strategies to support engagement, regulation, and confidence
  • Building strong, professional relationships with learners, families, schools, and professionals
  • Monitoring progress, writing clear session records, and contributing to reviews and reports
  • Working confidently and independently in home-based and alternative provision settings

About You

This role is suited to experienced SEN tutors with proven experience and a strong understanding of SEND.

Requirements

  • Significant experience supporting children or young people with SEN/SEND
  • Direct experience working with Autism, SEMH, and/or ADHD
  • Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum, with the ability to adapt creatively and flexibly
  • A calm, confident, and emotionally intelligent approach
  • Excellent communication and professional judgement
  • Confidence delivering 1:1 tuition independently
  • An enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
