New Chapter Tuition is recruiting experienced Autism, ADHD & Social Communication Tutors to provide personalised 1:1 tuition to children and young people aged 5–25 across Lewisham. We are looking for educators experienced in supporting learners with Autism, ADHD and social communication needs, including those who may experience anxiety, sensory differences, emotional regulation difficulties, executive functioning challenges or barriers to accessing education.
Each learner typically receives 10–15 hours of direct tuition plus 2–3 additional paid hours for planning and preparation per week, providing approximately 12–18 paid hours per student.
The role includes:
- Delivering personalised 1:1 English and Maths tuition
- Adapting teaching and communication to the individual learner
- Using visual, structured, sensory and interest-led approaches
- Supporting social communication, regulation and engagement
- Working towards EHCP outcomes and individual targets
- Planning resources and completing weekly progress reports
We welcome qualified teachers, SEN tutors, HLTAs and experienced SEND professionals. Relevant experience supporting autistic learners, ADHD and social communication needs is essential.
