Our stunning care home, Grappenhall Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built 70-bed facility located in Warrington, Cheshire. The home provides high standards of safety, comfort, and care for residents with diverse needs, including residential, nursing, and dementia care. We invest in the latest technology and offer a purposeful programme of daily activities and gentle exercises to enhance residents\’ wellbeing. All team members are carefully selected for their warmth and passion, supported by comprehensive induction and ongoing training through our in-house trainers and the New Care Academy. Notably, New Care has maintained a zero agency staff policy for over 5 years, employing a permanent team to ensure continuity of care from staff who know and residents trust. All staff are paid at or above the national minimum wage.

We are seeking a kind, caring, and motivated Team Leader to join our team. You will support the Home Manager and Deputy Home Manager in providing leadership and managing the home 24/7 within available resources. This is a full-time position with an hourly rate of ยฃ13.25. Shift times are 07:45-20:00, with alternate weekends. To qualify, you must have experience in medication management and administration.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Promote the highest standard of person-centred clinical nursing care to residents.
  • Manage and supervise the care team, ensuring quality care delivery during your shift.
  • Act as a role model in person-centred care.
  • Safeguard the welfare of adults under your responsibility or contact.
  • Deliver personalised care according to each residentโ€™s care plan during your shift.
  • Support professional standards within the home, assisting the Deputy and Home Manager.
  • Provide supervision, coaching, and assessment to Care Assistants.
  • Ensure effective assessment, planning, and evaluation of resident care through written care plans.
  • Maintain accurate records as required by the company and regulatory bodies.
  • Manage daily rotas and delegate workload to ensure sufficient and safe staffing.
  • Complete new admission files within the first week of arrival, involving the named nurse, senior carer, and key worker.
  • Build relationships with external professionals.
  • Assist in conducting regular quality audits of care plans.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experience in medication management and administration.
  • Experience working with older adults.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Social Care or equivalent.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Social Care or equivalent, or achievement within the first 12 months of employment.
  • Ability to contribute to assessment, planning, and evaluation of care needs.
  • Knowledge of the 6 principles of care and their application in residential/nursing settings.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Self-motivated and confident.
