Our stunning care home, Formby Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built facility located in Formby, Merseyside. The home is registered to provide care to 76 residents with a variety of needs, including residential, nursing, and dementia care. It reflects the New Care vision of providing the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care. The home meets all CQC requirements and invests in enhancing residents\' experiences, including programs like OOMPH, an award-winning activities and wellbeing program, electronic medication administration records, acoustic monitoring, and silent nurse call systems. We have maintained zero agency usage for over 5 years by employing a permanent staff team, ensuring continuity and familiarity for residents. All staff are paid at or above the national living wage.

We are seeking to appoint a Registered Nurse to join our team. You will support the Home Manager, Clinical Lead, and Head of Care in providing leadership and effective 24-hour management of the home within available resources. We offer a 42.88-hour contract with an excellent salary, shift times from 07:45 to 20:00, with alternate weekend working. Benefits include paid NMC fees, paid breaks and handovers, bank holiday and overtime enhancements, paid training, support with revalidation, and free onsite parking.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Promote the highest standard of person-centered clinical nursing care to residents.
  • Manage, allocate duties, and supervise the care team to ensure quality care delivery during shifts.
  • Be a role model demonstrating person-centered care.
  • Take responsibility for safeguarding the welfare of adults under your care.
  • Manage the delivery of personalized care according to residents\' care plans.
  • Support professional standards within the home supporting the Deputy and Home Manager.
  • Provide supervision, coaching, and assessment to Senior Care Assistants and Care Assistants.
  • Ensure effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care through written care plans.
  • Maintain accurate records as required by the company and regulatory bodies.
  • Manage daily rotas and delegate workload ensuring safe staffing levels.
  • Complete new admission files within the first week, with contributions from the named nurse, senior carer, and key worker.
  • Build relationships with external professionals.
  • Assist the home manager in conducting regular quality audits of care plans.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experience in Elderly care is essential.
  • Registered Nurse with a valid PIN.
  • Knowledge of caring for older people to supervise and coach staff.
  • Professional manner and appearance.
  • Ability to coordinate and motivate a team.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle emergencies effectively.
