Our stunning new home, Egerton Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built 64-bed care facility situated in the picturesque village of Egerton in Bolton. Opened in October 2023, it provides the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care to residents with various needs. We offer residential, nursing, and dementia care. We invest in the latest technology and provide a purposeful program of daily activities and gentle exercise to enhance residents\' wellbeing. All team members are carefully selected for their warmth and passion, undergo a full induction, and receive ongoing training from our in-house trainers in conjunction with the New Care Academy. We have maintained a zero-agency staff policy for over 5 years, employing a permanent team to ensure continuity of care from staff who know and residents trust. Across New Care, all staff are paid at least the national minimum wage.

We are seeking to appoint kind, caring, and compassionate Care Assistants to join our team. You will deliver quality care to residents according to Care Plans and contribute to the smooth running of the home. We offer a full-time contract with an hourly rate of Β£12.21. Shift times are 19:45-08:00, with alternate weekends off.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver person-centered, hands-on care to residents.
  • Support residents to enjoy a good quality of life.
  • Model best practice in care delivery.
  • Assist residents with their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs in line with care plans.
  • Contribute to daily records of residents.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and complete delegated tasks efficiently.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of adults in your care.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experience as a Care Assistant is preferred.
  • Care Certificate or willingness to achieve it within 12 months.
  • Good knowledge of care practices for older people.
  • Understanding of the 6 principles of care and their application in residential/nursing settings.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Self-motivation and confidence.
