Our stunning care home, Grosvenor Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built facility in Great Boughton, Chester. The home is registered to provide care to 81 residents with various needs, including residential, nursing, and dementia care. It reflects the New Care vision of providing the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care. Grosvenor Manor is rated OUTSTANDING in Responsive and GOOD in all other domains by CQC, with a 5-star EHO rating. We prioritize safety, comfort, and quality of care, and enjoy a good local reputation. We have maintained zero agency staff usage for over three years by employing a dedicated, permanent team familiar with our residents. All staff are paid above the national living wage.

We are seeking a kind, motivated, and organized Housekeeping and Laundry Assistant to join our team. The role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the home, in line with the New Care specifications. The position offers a 30-hour contract with an excellent hourly rate of £10.75. Shift times are 08:00-14:00, with alternate weekends off.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Complete all daily and weekly cleaning schedules and sign necessary paperwork.
  • Follow all guidance from the Head Housekeeper.
  • Contribute to achieving the home's housekeeping standards.
  • Undertake general cleaning tasks and other duties delegated by the Head Housekeeper.
  • Carry out laundry duties when required.
  • Ensure the environment is hazard-free and be aware of risks when using equipment.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of adults the post holder interacts with.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Previous non-domestic cleaning experience and experience in a care setting are advantageous.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and record basic comments.
  • Effective communication with team members.
  • Reliability and trustworthiness.
