Location: New Bridge Learning Centre, Fitton Hill, Oldham.

Salary: NJC Point 3 – £24,796 per annum (full time, full year). Actual salary (pro rata): £19,669 per annum.

Hours: 34 hours per week / term time plus 5 days (195 days).

Status: Permanent. Commencing as soon as possible.

About the School

New Bridge School is part of the New Bridge Multi Academy Trust (MAT). It serves pupils aged 11–19 across three sites in Oldham, with the Learning Centre on St. Martin’s Road, Fitton Hill. The school has an Outstanding rating and caters for 380 pupils with a wide range of SEND, including physical disabilities, multisensory impairments, visual and hearing impairments, and autism spectrum condition. All pupils have an EHC plan.

Role Overview

This role supports young people who require assistance in the bathroom with personal care. The successful candidate will provide compassionate, dignified support, work as part of a dedicated PCA team, and may be required to work across multiple sites if needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist pupils with personal care in the bathroom.
  • Ensure privacy, dignity, and safety for all pupils.
  • Support pupils across multiple sites as required.
  • Work collaboratively within the PCA team and wider school staff.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience in a caring role supporting pupils with SEND.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and flexibility in working hours.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
