Introduction
New Birth Day Nursery are looking for a dynamic individual with a passion for early childhood development to join their friendly team. Your role will be supporting children aged 3 months to 5 years. You will be a key person for a small group of children, making learning fun and enjoyable, whilst maintaining close communication with parents and carers.

New Birth Day Nursery offers childcare for children aged 3 months to 5 years across multiple locations in East London, including Royal Docks, Stepney, and Barkingside. It provides a curriculum based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, focusing on a "challenging, open ended provision" designed to foster exploration, learning, and development at the child's own pace.
What You'll Do
- To act as a key person to a group of children, liaising closely and building an effective relationship with parents/carers and ensuring each child's needs are recognised and met
- To work in partnership with parents/carers and other family members
- To advise the manager of any concerns e.g. health and well-being of children, parents or the safetyof equipment, preserving confidentiality as necessary
- To teach children, offering an appropriate level of support and stimulating play experiences
- To ensure that children are kept safe and that you understand when to follow child protection procedures
- To actively participate at team meetings, supervision meetings and appraisal meetings
- To attend training courses as required and to take responsibilityfor personal development
