Operations Manager (Part-Time, Hybrid)

📍 Reading | 💼 salary available on request + pension | ⏰ 3–4 days/week

Are you an organised, resilient professional looking to make a real difference? New Beginnings Reading, a local charity, is seeking a part-time Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of our site, ensuring safe, efficient, and welcoming service delivery for all who use our services.

What you’ll do

• Manage weekly site operations: shift prep, coverage, clean-up, deliveries, trades access
• Handle communications: emails, calls, WhatsApp messages relating to services, donations, and volunteers
• Oversee purchasing of essentials and volunteer supplies
• Respond to emergencies and site issues (leaks, pests, safety checks)
• Support staff cover and training coordination

What we’re looking for

• Experience in operations or facilities management
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable with finance admin and procurement tasks
• Excellent communicator, resilient under pressure
