The Swan’s Nest Hotel is a 17th century building offering 72 rooms, located 5 minute walk from the historic heart of Stratford-upon-Avon.
Role Responsibilities
- Assist in the efficient and effective running of the Housekeeping Department.
- Ensure that the hotel bedrooms and public areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and in line with Company standards.
- Support the day-to-day operation of the department, including carrying out cleaning duties as required.
- Maintain standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness in all areas; bedrooms, corridors, function rooms and public areas.
- Support the Head Housekeeper in supervising the daily cleaning of assigned rooms, bathrooms and public areas.
- Be a brand expert, ensuring awareness of all room categories and amenities and passing this knowledge on to all members of the Housekeeping Team.
- Report any maintenance issues to Maintenance/Engineering Department and follow up to ensure that the faults are rectified efficiently.
- Assist the Head Housekeeper with training requirements and provide coaching and constructive feedback to the team.
- Support the team with cleaning and servicing rooms as required.
- Maintain a positive approach to guests, anticipating their needs and reacting to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Log and store any guest property left behind in a secure location for lost property.
- Resolve any guest problems or complaints where possible and ensure management are kept informed.
- Maintain a professional working relationship with all departments in the hotel and work together as one team.
- Attend all H&S, Fire and Food Safety Training as directed by designated Line Manager.
- Abide by the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and safe system of work appropriate to your role.
- Complete any other reasonable tasks as requested by your Line Manager.
